Scrap. But even if it is a scrap, it’s still a treasure for me. Limited for now. But I try to enjoy it as much as I can.
I would often walk here during my day off…yes under the heat of the sun…see my shadow? 🙂
Notice the mountain that serves as a border. What’s on the other side?
Town proper at 5pm. Almost all stores are already closed.
Rugby Park near our area. Rugby? Is that where the solvent boys have their sessions? Hehe…
On my way back to the apartment.
The owner of this lawn/grass walks barefoot here. Seems logical because I feel guilty stepping on this very green very pretty grass. 🙂
My favorite west. According to some, it is dangerous here. So I have to leave before it gets dark.
I also like the Mckers (not sure about the spelling but that is how people call Mcdo here) at west. Date with God.
Some revelations from God that brought tears to my eyes:
God has put me here to set me apart. For whatever His purpose is. He is not finished with me yet.
Yesterday, although it was freezing, I attended the Stress Less Activity at the Bicentennial Park. I could not stay longer because it was really cold and I only have 2 layers on. But I like how this community really tries to have all these activities. They also served free food, massages, and other fun activities. If it were warmer, I guess more people would come by.
I got fascinated by these ducks swimming in this pond. 🙂 I was trying to see their feet. Grace under pressure. Maybe I could learn something from them. 🙂
Amateur photo 🙂 I just want to capture some activities that went through that day. 🙂
In the Philippines, my favorite Christian bookstore is OMF. I would go to Greenbelt 1 just to immerse myself in Christian books/devotionals there at OMF. So imagine how happy I have felt when Z led us to Koorong Tamworth. I feel like I’m in heaven then. Hehe…:)
I bought this devotional bible there in New Century Version (NCV). I thought I would find it hard to understand. But this is one of the more understandable versions of the bible. I am glad I bought this. 🙂
I also tried this Kebab Stall in the Centrepoint Shopping Center in town. I wanted something spicy so I decided to eat kebab with yogurt and garlic sauce. It’s not as spicy as I think it would be but it’s okay and not messy to eat 🙂 They also give good enough amount of beef. Well, they should for it costs around 9 bucks 🙂
After going to town, I waited for my housemate so we could go to the supermarket for our food. She’s into health stuff now and I would often tell her which is healthy and not. I have been planning to go back to eating healthy and becoming a sort of vegetarian but I’m still trying to overcome factors that hinder this endeavour. 🙂 Anyway, I bought some healthy stuff like choco milk fortified with Calcium, oats, cornflakes, biscuits instead of chips. Improving right?! One step at a time. 🙂 I noticed also that my stomach is not that upset anymore. 🙂 I owe it to this healthy food. 🙂 Hmmm I need a food menu. Have a great day everyone! 🙂
Because food is my vice–thank God for Oporto. Quite expensive for a part-timer like me but they have chicken. 🙂
I saw these on sale. My relatives added four 🙂
These are already available in the Philippines but I don’t think it would cost as low as Php 43 per box. If only I could send these to my family.
I rode the bus going to Moonee Ponds from Hillside. I discovered new routes. I have seen new parts of Melbourne.
I went home early because I felt tired. When I reached Hillside, the wind was blowing hard, the chill is penetrating my body.
I am looking forward to what God has planned for me. I know He’s laying down the foundation.
Thank You Lord. 🙂
I am gonna live in one of the pretty apartments around this area soon. I am declaring it.
Look how pretty this place is. 🙂
Supposed to be similar with BayWalk. Are there similarities?
Pretty buildings. Now I know how to go to Etihad Stadium to watch live “footy” games.
I just gotta have faith. 🙂
It is someone’s birthday. I never thought that I’d be here already, miles apart from them. I have other expectation.
The sky was clear yesterday as my friend and I, along with her sister walked the nearby park.
We saw people running around Tan Track, just enjoying their sundays. We were enjoying our sunday too. It is just that my feet were already painful.
We also went to Queen Victoria Market where there are lots of cheese, choco, and bread. I love that place. I love bread!
I tried “borek” the spicy lamb one. It was quite spicy but I love the hot bread. But the spices and lamb can do a lot on one’s breath. So be ready to pop in a mint candy after.
The famous American doughnut with jam. Good thing I am not into donuts because the line here was loooong… 🙂
The only flower shop in this market. It’s colorful that is why I asked my friend to take this picture of me with the flowers. 🙂
Melbourne City. So pretty and quite clean. But I think I love it more at night when the old buildings look even more old–ladden with wisdom.
You are going to love me Melbourne. 🙂
Things are falling into place. I have met key people in my life here already. It’s nice to see them again–to converse with them.
I feel grateful that they have spent time with me.
Total tourist today 🙂
The grafitti street. I don’t know the name of this place but with all the vandalism (supposed to be a grafitti), some artwork is destroyed.
Intramuros? Australian Old Gaol.
State library. Felt like I was in National Treasures movie.
Eiffel Tower? Don’t really know this place but it’s interesting.
Looks pretty. I hope to be rich enough to afford a place here. 🙂
But I could still change my mind. A family of my own on my mind 🙂
What a beautiful day 🙂
Doing tricks. Maybe I should do this for now. 🙂
I like this building, tank-like.
Beautiful Melbourne view.
People are busy. It wouldn’t hurt to be a little more sensitive to the needs of others but we should not really expect much from others.
I am ready for this place. People ask me how I feel. I don’t really know. I just want to do what I intend to do here–thrive.
So grant me favor God. Thank You Lord.
I was so cold while walking the streets of Preston and I saw this coffee shop by Arabian owner. After much contemplation, I finally decided to order coffee. We have language barrier. My large is her lage…without “r”. I have yet to learn that. Anyway, Preston looks like an old town, considering it is quite near the city.
Most of the stores here are Vietnamese, Chinese and Indian and also Arabic. There are also some pharmacies here.
Anyway, off topic, I need to put on more red lipstick because I look pale from the cold. The lipstick I bought is supposed to last longer but I guess they mean only for a few hours.
I went with my relatives to my cousin’s dance competition and I saw ladies with nice abs. I want to have abs like those, too. I am inspired to go back to my lifestyle change. And it’s going to start tomorrow.
I am such a tourist. I never really planned on roaming the city just for the sake of roaming it. I’m on a budget here, remember. 🙂 But I guess God wanted me to be a tourist for a while and enjoy the view.
I went inside this pharmacy and this lady asked me the customer service way. I thought she was Chinese or Malaysian or Australian because of her accent. I was surprised because she suddenly asked me, “Pilipino ka?”
It took me a while to regain from shock.
By God’s grace I have hope here.
Anyway, here are pictures of Flinders Station and the famous buildings here because of their architecture!
I don’t want to flood you with photos so thess would suffice by now.
Funny story. I am not really used to converse in English much more with someone who has an Australian accent, so there were these two volunteers explaining a cause. I went along with it just so I could converse with him to brush up on my english. Then I told him in the end that I am still looking for work. He had that disappointing look but it was okay.
Another is an old couple asked me if I could take their pictures. They were Asian. I guess I look trustworthy and approachable enough. Nice. 🙂
The city is beautiful but I guess it is expensive to live there. I would rather stay in the suburbs.
