Walk

I was about to go walking after work.  But it rained hard.  This town really needed rain so I should not complain even if I got soaked so I had to change clothes immediately.  Anyway, I got inspired watching the Biggest Loser on tv.  I’m still continuing on with my calorie restriction and trying to eat healthier.  I am just finishing on my last cup of jasmine rice.  I bought potato, sweet potato, fruit juices, and bananas.  They were the cheaper ones at the grocery.

I also saw the football field in this town and I thought about running.  But of course knowing my body, I have to load up on multivitamins and calcium.  I’ll give it a few weeks, even if it’s already autumn.  I will still go running once I get more confident with my calcium intake.  For now, I will stick to walking and who knows, maybe next week I might do tennis. 🙂

This is the place I am staying here.  Inside I don’t feel like I am in a rural area.  It feels like living in a city.  I thank God for this opportunity.  This is really a different season in my life.  I pray that I will make the best of this season in my life. 🙂

Adobo Version 2

Here in the country, there isn’t much restaurant in town.  So I have to do what I got to do to survive–cook.  And one of the easy dishes to cook is adobo.  With the help of Mama Sita’s ready mix, I made adobo almost instantly.

The taste is alright but if you want to do the sauce from scratch, you need soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and pepper for this.  Saute the garlic until golden brown, add the chicken, stir fry them until cooked, add a bit of soy sauce and vinegar and a little pepper.  Adjust the taste if you want it salty, add more soy sauce and if you want it sour, add more vinegar.  You can also make it chili by adding some chili sauce. 🙂

This dish goes best with rice. 🙂

Koko Black

It is the place of my favorite hot chocolate.  It clearly beats Jollibee and Starbucks.  Every sip is heaven with its creaminess, it really feels like drinking a chocolate bar.  So good!

But too bad, I am here in the bush and that means no Koko Black.  But should I wallow in self-pity?  No.  I am here for a greater reason–a very good reason.  I would always choose to go to this place if I were to live my life again.  But of course, there is no reincarnation only resurrection. 🙂  So I decided to make my own hot chocolate and here it is:

According to one of the Koko Black staff, all I had to do was warm the milk and add chocolate shavings.  And that is what I did.  Only, I didn’t really shave the chocolate.  I just put it in cubes.  It still melted though so it’s all good. 🙂

Wow, now that I am here in the bush, I realized that I have so many things that I can do.  So many projects that I can accomplish.  By God’s power and grace, I will do the best I can with this life of mine. 🙂

Lessons from Ballarat

I was asking God before why I had to work to Ballarat if I would just resign after 2 weeks.  Let me explain.

One of my faith goals in 2013 was to have a ready job even before I got registered as a pharmacist.  And God gave it to me.  Praise God!  It was in Ballarat.  Then I had another opportunity but then again for some reason I couldn’t go.  And so I packed my bags, said my goodbye to Tamworth folks and went to Ballarat.

I found favor from God because everything in Ballarat was set for me–the accommodation, church, people I work with, and people in Ballarat are not racist.  It has all the stores that I like, my housemate is also very nice.  But then I had to take another job because it is a great opportunity for me to learn and hone my skills as a pharmacist.  And so I packed my bags again and went back to NSW.

And here I am in a rural area.  What am I doing here?  I know God wants me to do something here.  He has given me His command.  I know that He can do so much more.  Right now I am here, and I know that this is part of His greater plan.  Because what I learned in Ballarat is that God can give me everything just like that.  He can give me a love life if He really wants to.  He has so much in store for me.  And so I shouldn’t be worried at all.  God is still God.  God is still my God.

Thank You Lord for everything.  You are really amazing!

Tamworth-Ballarat-Tamworth-Baradine

Did it really happen?  Did I really work in Ballarat?

Ballarat is such an interesting place.  It is a place for excellent people.  The skills I have learned from that place are really considered treasures.

I have met amazing people in there.  They have shown me kindness.

Now I am here in Tamworth, in transit to Baradine.  Baradine will now become my new home.  It is a small community.  But I have to be there to serve this community.  I will love that place especially the people living in that community.  They will be my new family.

So this post is more like an update. 🙂
