For a while there I became selfish.  I realized that there are still loads of selfishness in me.

But whatever happens, I leave it all up to God.  I surrender everything to Him.

Move Forward

Move Forward! (from One Voice Ministries)

[Wednesday, August 28, 2013]

“Though the enemy would pursue you this day, keep moving forward, says the Lord. Don’t look at yesterday or analyze what the enemy did or even might do; just raise your rod of authority and move forward. And yes, you will come out on the other side!”

What a day!  It started with a thought.  See, I love perfumes but out of all the perfumes I have 2 specific scent that I really long for.  I could not buy them when I was in the Philippines because they were expensive for me.  So it remained a dream.  Now that I am here, I am supposed to somehow make my dream come true.  Until when will I put it off?  So I decided to buy the perfume.  Well, just to let you know I have decided this already last Monday night, but when I was about to buy it last Tuesday after the workshop, I could not find it–they said they no longer manufacture this particular scent.  I was heartbroken.

Then I remembered this chemist near my workplace which still sold this perfume.  And so I called them yesterday and decided to buy it this morning on my way to work.

One of my many dreams finally comes true.  It is me saying that no one can stop me from my destiny from now on.  I am destined to be great.  By God’s grace, I will be fulfilling my destiny.

Then something happened while  I bought my bread.  At work, something happened as well.  I wanted to go home and just cry.  But I could not that time because I had to work.  I had to be brave and move forward.

I could not really eat.  I felt like this is it–no more excuses.  This is the answer to my question.  But I believe that these things happen for my own good.  For whatever happens, God got this.  He knows and He is in control of my situation.

Then when I went back and something good happened.  The rod of authority has been raised.  It’s all for the better.  Today, I have seen how powerful God is.  He constantly defends me.

I also got my answer today.  The answer is no.  I have to move forward.  By God’s grace, I will.

Double Rainbow

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 NIV

I saw a picture of double rainbow again.  It reminded me that God is still in when it comes to His promises.  I am continuously blessed and favored by the Lord.  Thank You Lord.

Singleness is a blessing

I want to acknowledge this, right at this moment.  There is nothing wrong with being single.  It is not a disease.  It is not because one is ugly or undesirable.  One can be blessed whether she’s single or married.  So if I am meant for singleness, I can fully embrace this without feeling that I am missing out on life.

My point in writing this is to acknowledge that there is nothing to be afraid of if I am to remain single.

There are so many benefits to being single that married people don’t have.  But I know that there are many benefits to be married that singleness cannot offer.  And I think what needs to be done here is to accept the limitations of whatever status you are in.  That way you won’t envy or long for what you are not allowed to have.

Sex is one of the things that single people cannot have.  Anything to do with sex.  Single people to be fully blessed should not even try to have it because sex is a gift from God only for married people.  To tamper with it when you’re not meant to have it can destroy you.  It can make you feel down and long for someone.  Married people needs it–God made it that way–for reproduction, a glue like a special bond for married couple.  The earlier you accept this, the easier it will be.  That is part of the deal.

Whether I remain single or get married, I know I will be okay.  🙂

Speak to the Potential in People

Start with thyself:

Dear Jas,

God has planned for you.  Even before you were born, He already loves you.  He made the earth for you, placed you in the loving care of two of the best parents in the world, in a country that suits you best–with that skin color and beauty and the body size that will forever puts you in balance–to make sure that you are always living healthy.

God has given you everything you need and puts you in position for you to be the best.  The only measure you have is how much you love God.

You are an encourager, so encourage as much people as you can.  You have been given the ability to say the words that can keep them going.  Do it to empower people.  And be generous.  Be generous in the kindness that you will show.  Honor everyone especially those whom God asks you to honor–parents, authority, other people.  Motivate others to live out their potential.  Choose to see the potential in others.  It is easy for you because you have been given that ability–the ability to see the strength of people.

Keep on reaching out to people–whatever color or race, whatever status they are in.  Be generous of yourself.  You are a great pharmacist.  A blessing to the profession.  Share your knowledge because they will benefit from it.  You are skilled–you do everything with flair and diligence.

You are a game-changer.  You change the culture for the better.  Come and bring encouragement to the table.  If you must leave, leave it a little better.

Walk and follow Jesus.  He is the answer to your prayers.

Start your ministry, right now.  Be honest at work, put your heart into it–love what you do.  Give it your best.  You have always been sincere.  Choose to see Jesus when you can’t find reason to be sincere.  When doing good things, go a little further–aim to serve others.  You’ve known how to be humble so you’ll know how to serve.

You don’t give up.  You always persevere.  You are patient.  You are kind.  You don’t boast because you know that you have nothing to boast about except the power that God has over your life.  You are generous.  You are a lady.  You are a princess.  You are a woman of excellence.  You are a woman of faith.  You are a woman of God.

You thrive and bloom even in pollution.  You are a gift to someone’s life.  You are a great friend to many, especially women who struggle with their insecurity.  Now is the time to be a great testimony to all the women who are single and waiting for someone to love them.  Show them that God is the only One they need to be complete.

You know how to love and you do love.

You are saved.

Lift others up.  Lead them to Jesus.  Introduce them to Him because He is the answer to their prayers.

Your endurance is superb.  You are resilient.  You always have a pure, innocent heart–always be your parents’ daughter. 🙂

You are a great mother to the people who need a great mother.  You are nourishing their soul by showing them how God treats you that is why you can treat them with kindness.

You will be a faithful wife who submits to the leadership of your husband.  A blessing to your husband.

You are a great sister–a sister who prays for the welfare of her siblings, who will give your best to help them have a great life.

You are a wonderful aunt–who leads your niece and nephew to God.

You are a great cousin who influences your whole clan.

You are a great teacher–they really learn what they need to learn from you.

You are joyful and peaceful.  You enjoy the constant presence of God in your life.

You are a missionary–you share the Gospel to everyone you know who would hear and listen.

You are a child of God.  Forgiven.  Protected.  Free.  Washed as white as snow.  Blessed.  Highly favored.  Loved.  Saved.

I believe in you.  I love you.

I am

That was the revelation given to me tonight.

I am the One you need

I am the One you are looking for

I am the answer to your prayers.

When you need someone to help you, he won’t but I am even if you don’t notice Me.

When you need someone to look at you lovingly with all your blemishes, I am looking at you lovingly.

I am the One who wants to dance with you.  I created all the music you want to dance with you.

I am the perfect Friend.

I am the King.

I am greater than anyone you think of.

I am here for you.

I am always by your side.

I am your protector.

I know the plans I have for you.

I am in control.

Trust Me.  Believe in Me.  Have faith in Me.

Being in a relationship with Me is the best you will ever have.

I am your groom, you are My bride.

Can God exceed my expectations?

I have always been ambitious.  The things I want for myself has been way over my abilities and resources.  But God has been known to be an extravagant God.  And I wonder how He will exceed my expectations.  I know He will.  The fun part is witnessing how.  I may be wrong with this but I hope God will reveal to me things just because our relationship should go deeper.

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jeremiah 33:2-3 ESVUK

I anticipate great things in my life.  By God’s grace, I hope He will do great things in my life for His glory.

I went to Sydney last saturday for some training and I was so exhausted–lack of sleep with workbook to accomplish is not a good combination.  But by God’s grace I was able to survive it.

I was also able to find the Filipino restaurant.  Yey!!!

The room at Great Southern Hotel was also nice. 🙂  The hotel was a bit updated.  But I know that the next time I go to Sydney, the hotel I would be staying next will be even better. 🙂

Whenever I go to Sydney I would always buy Dymocks notebooks/journals, buy Haigh’s frog chocolates (because it’s the most affordable ones there), drink Happy Lemon’s lemon yakult green tea, have perfume.  I was able to accomplish all that. 🙂

Hopefully next time I would be able to explore new restaurant there, attend Hillsong or C3 worship services, meet with other Christians for connect group and just enjoy it 🙂

I was also blessed to have my certificate 🙂

Anyway, today I was reflecting on generosity–not just with money but with everything.

Last week I began again sending bible verses to my contacts on my phone via SMS 🙂  It was a bit harder when I think on why should I share Jesus with others when they have a lot of things and I only have Jesus.  Such a selfish thought.  But God has rebuked me telling me that I said I have accepted Him in my life and He wanted to tell me that He hasn’t accepted what I have been doing lately–being defeated by the world and not believing in God when He said that in Jesus I have a victorious life.  That I have not fully obeyed the Lord.  One thing He asks of His followers is to share Jesus in any way.  So I know that I have to continue on sharing God’s Word even if I am afraid that some might be offended and might just ignore it but others will find it encouraging.  I just have to keep on planting seeds and in due season it will produce the fruits.

One good things about generosity is this:

The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.  The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. (Proverbs 11:24-25 MSG)

I totally believe that one because it is true.  A lot of people has been blessed because they have been generous–with money, time, and resources.  I thank God for surrounding me with generous people. 🙂  I hope to have the courage to be generous enough with everything in my life.
