I dread reading the Book of Numbers, but surprisingly, God is speaking to me through that book.

The Israelites were such a complainer when they were in the dessert–but aren’t we all.  But I think I can very well relate to this because I am about to go into the promised land God has given me.  This book is a great reminder that I shouldn’t blame God in all my discomforts, that I just have to talk to Him–to pray and He will listen just like how He talks and listen to Moses.

God also reminded me to always choose life.  To love and obey God.

…Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

I should not forget how God has blessed me and how He’s faithful to His promises.  I was also touched by this:

19 God is not a human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
20 I have received a command to bless;
he has blessed, and I cannot change it. (Numbers 24:19-20)

He will always do what He says.  I can hold on to His promises.
