This is serious.  I am starting at a weight of 135 lbs.  My goal is to lose 1 pound per week.  And this means lifestyle change.  Enough of senseless and mindless eating.

  1. Lifestyle change is right. And it it can be hard.

    The first thing, I did was to eliminate all snack / dessert foods (except for watery fruits). Then I took smaller portions – especially on dense carbs like rice and pasta. Finally, I added wa-a-a-a-a-a-ay more veggies.

    Of course, now-a-days, I snack and it shows on my waist. sigh.

    It takes a long time to change eating habits. Resisting overindulging can be hard.

    One thing I have learned is that it is better to buy quality snacks than quantitiy snacks. Better to buy a few Godiva chocolates instead of big bargain bag of chocolates. Mostly, because you eat less.
